Big Scary plans

A friend of mine took me through an exercise called ‘The Wheel of Life’ (it can be found on Google easily btw) and it made me think about all my plans and goals going forward. I always thought I was doing enough and looking back after six months of hard work, I’ve done a lot. I’ve started a coaching practice, I’ve been on local and national radio to discuss matters close to me. I’ve been involved with an LGBT campaign for over 50’s and got trained up in new skills.

However, after sitting down and working through the exercise its time to start stretching myself a lot more. My friend described it as:

‘You’ve taken all these small steps towards things, now you’re taking a step back and realising how much has happened’

This is true, its just I never thought about it since then. I’ve just concentrated on trying to get each day lined up. Some days work, some days don’t work. Now I’m trying something bigger and scarier. I have a plan which is way bigger than me and what I do currently. Its something I’ve wanted to do, largely because I want to put a project out there that can stand for years, maybe even decades. However, I’m still in early stages so all I can do is tell you is this: Its a documentary. A big documentary covering lives old, young, well off and extremely poor. Something that’s in the headlines a lot.

Until next time, write down the scary plans and get to work.
