Don’t Give Up
I’ve been really struggling to sleep over the past few weeks. Followed the usual tips (switching off the phone and placing it far from me, giving myself an hour to drift to sleep) but still struggling a lot to get some sleep. Then I had a brainwave, although it was a very emotional thing. I hadn’t cried for weeks.
I just tried to trek through and push on, tried to ignore the weight of the seasons. However, I called out to my Google device for a certain song…the barriers might’ve been made out of polystyrene and fell over. All the heartache just came welling out. I needed some time to just have a long good cry.
Sometimes that’s all you need and that’s absolutely it. Most of all, with all that’s going on. Don’t give up. Don’t give up on each other. Don’t give up on the goodness that is still out there beyond the bad news emanating from different points. From media, from hurt people, from all sorts of bad actors.
Take time to rest? Absolutely. Take time to focus on improving yourself? Absolutely. Just don’t give up on yourself.
#embraceinfinity folks. Also…hydrate.
