How I Roll (aka Frequently Asked Questions)

I saw an article about coaching last week in Cosmpolitan. I thought to give it a look just because it’s a wise decision to keep myself informed. I gave it a good read and wow…some really bad experiences and awful treatment. Like any field, you’ll find coaches where they have terrible skills, horrid communication and a feeling where they not only have taken your money but taken your time for granted. So as someone in their third year of practice, I’m finally going to let you into how I work as a business.

I don’t do free intro sessions.

I will sit down and chat about what you’re looking for over ten to fifteen minutes. In that time I can quickly figure out if I’m good for you as a coach…but if you’re good for me as a client. Short answer: its a time saver for both of us.

All financial transactions are done prior to sessions.

I have unfortunately have had sessions where clients have left it to the very last minute to pay. It just makes things uncomfortable for both of us and harder to track.

I will stay in my lane

I won’t diagnose you, pathologize you or analyse you into something that denies your agency, consent or understanding. I try to keep my practice jargon free and down to earth. I’m your coach which means its a two-way dialogue for thoughts, doubts and questions. Even though I don’t think I need to say it, but everything you tell me will remain confidential.

I’ll keep things jargon free

Its very easy for me to present certain techniques like they’re magic, but I look to not complicate language and make my observations, questions and reflections clear rather than leave a client confused. Ultimately I want to offer peace of mind as well as clarity in the path the client wants to take.

In conclusion, on the coaching side of things I want to not only offer you a brilliant service but also a smooth transition from where our work starts and where it ends.

Until next time folks, #hangtight
