Leaving The Vault
As the world is trying to restart and slowly ease the lockdown from Covid 19, I made a decision not to rush out of the door. During the time of lockdown I have learnt a lot of things about myself and exactly what I need to keep ticking over. With that amount of downtime, you can’t help but look inward as I’ve spoken about before. Now, the frame has definitely changed from laissez faire consumption to a more conscious way of living.
Stepping out of the house holds new meaning now. It can’t be just to dither and let time slip away, its more dedicated to an ebb and flow. Less cemented in the capitalistic system, its more about making the most of the time you have. It reminds me of the time I played Fallout 4 and finally emerging from the vault. You know the world you’re entering from a time ago, but on the other hand you don’t either.
The world we’re entering in my own ‘woo-woo’ sense is elastic. Questions that were on the fringe are now surfacing and being discussed. Systemic murder of black people at the hands of police are finally being investigated. The idea of defunding the police is no longer looked at with harsh judgement. New ideas that may shape the century despite the dark environment it has been born in.
Yet, this year has been full of curveballs, swerves and ‘one more thing’s and although that might take some people off balance. Rest assured, I know to stay alert and prepare as best as I can.
You ready to leave the vault and change the world as you know it?
Until next time, may the fire burn bright, may the earth remain rich and #embraceinfinity
